Betty Lin- A gem in Pac Heights
Today I had the pleasure of having lunch and checking out Betty Lin and her boutique in Pacific Heights, SF. When it comes to fashion and good taste, Betty's got it and it shows in her buy for her boutique. I guess I should provide a little history on how I met Betty and come to really admire her sense of fashion.
I met Betty about 4 years ago through a friend who also happened to be my boss at the time. My boss told me that I had to meet her friend Betty and see what a fashionable, smart, and great person she is. I was also told that she had her own clothing boutique in Seattle and that it was doing really well. At the time, I had no intention of moving to Seattle, so I didn't think twice. However, when I did finally move to Seattle two years ago, I visited her store in downtown Seattle. I fell in love with her chic, eclectic pieces that she bought for her store. She carries both men's and women's and focused on Designer goods mainly. The beauty was that you can get these designer pieces at up to 80% off retail prices. Because Betty was once a designer buyer at a major retailer she was able to build strong relationships with vendors so that she can get past season's merchandise that were brand new and sell it at a fraction of what it retailed...heaven to me.
She brought the same concept to San Francisco and opened a store in Pacific Heights last winter. Her store is filled with beautiful pieces from Christian Dior, Thomas Wylde, Givenchy, Chloe, Gary Graham, Risto, L'Wren Scott, Junya Watanabe, Nina Ricci and the list goes on. In the Fall she will bring in current season merchandise from some of the most sought after brands that are not widely available in SF such as Helmut Lang, MM6 by Martin Margiela, Erdem, Rick Owens Lillies, and much more. I am so excited to see what she has in store for us.
The location of the shop is a destination, but the trip is worth making. There are plenty of parking spots and the neighborhood is cute and quaint. I highly encourage all fashionistas to visit her shop. You will find many things fabulous and it won't put a huge dent in your pocket. Currently she is having a friends and family sale, so if you go mention me or my blog and she will give you 30% off everything in the store. Betty and I are currently obsessed with her studded leather vest from Thomas Wylde. It retailed for over $2,500, you can find it at Betty Lin for $1,150 plus my 30% off friends and family discount. AMAZING!
